| Queen Music - Queen Band Picture : This is one of the best rock bands of all-time. They were not only accomplished musicians, but they knew classical music theory very well. They applied this music theory to rock and produced such masterpieces as Bohemian Rhapsody, etc. . I'm convinced that the classical music influence in the 60's and 70's on English bands(learned in boarding schools, etc.) is what led to so many great songs during that era. Of course, Freddie had additional influences from growing up in India, as well. It would be great if this classical, theatrical type of rock made a come back some day. There is still a huge demand for it in Europe, but very little quality bands to fill the void. Anyway, long live Queen, and they have been a HUGE influence on me. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
