| Rush Band - Rush Music - The rock band Rush is in my top ten of all-time favorite bands. The 2112 Rush band picture above is a classic!! The 2112 Rush album is one of my favorite Rush albums along with Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures, and Signals. The bottom right Rush picture was taken during the Farewell To Kings album era. I've always been impressed with this bands musicianship, as well as their songwriting up to the mid-80's. It's amazing how a three piece band can sound so very big. I always loved Geddy's use of Oberheim synths such as the OBX, OBXa (used all over Signals for example), OB-1 (lead synth all over Permanent Waves), etc. He was also big on the Moog Taurus I bass pedals which had that huge low end. I also loved the old Marshall Plexi and Marshall JMP era metalface tone that Alex used to get with his Gibson guitars. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
